A BILL

 

for

 

 1  AN ACT relating to the Wyoming pari-mutuel commission;
 2  authorizing the simulcasting of dog racing as specified;
 3  and providing for an effective date.

 4  

 5  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

 6 

 7       Section 1.  W.S. 11-25-102(a)(v) is amended to read:

 8 

 9       11-25-102.  Definitions.

10 

11       (a)  As used in this act:

12 

13              (v)  "Pari-mutuel event" means the events which
14  are authorized by the commission for the conduct of horse
15  racing (to include quarter horse, thoroughbred or other

 1  approved races), harness racing, cutter racing, chariot
 2  racing, chuckwagon racing, professional roping events and
 3  simulcasting of these dog racing and the events described
 4  in this paragraph as prescribed by the commission;

 5 

 6       Section 2.  This act is effective July 1, 2001.
