A BILL
for
AN ACT relating to livestock brands; changing language pertaining to proof of ownership to conform to other statutes; and providing for an effective date.
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:
Section 1. W.S. 11-20-208(a) is amended to read:
11-20-208. Proof of prior ownership; penalties for furnishing false proof.
(a) When the
proof of ownership inspection is used, inspectors shall require proof of prior ownership of livestock being shipped across county lines or in interstate commerce
upon change
of ownership as provided by W.S. 11-20-203(a) and an instrument
evidencing such ownership shall be delivered by the shipper to the inspector
who shall attach it to the form and return it to the agency.
Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2002.
