Management Audit Committee Meeting Summary (May 3, 2002)

The Management Audit Committee met on May 3, 2002 in Sheridan.  The Committee met in executive session to consider the draft report on the Wyoming Aeronautics Commission.  The Committee voted to release the report and to send a letter to the Aeronautics Commission, the Wyoming Airport Operators Association, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation asking them to come to a consensus on state-level organization for aeronautics.  The Committee also requested a progress report and recommendations for draft legislation from these parties.

 

The Committee received and discussed staff follow-up reports on Wyoming State Archives and Turnover and Retention in Four Occupations.  Staff provided an update on the Attorney General evaluation, anticipating an early fall completion date for the study.  The Committee discussed potential study topics and approved an evaluation of the “Access Yes” program operated by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.  The Committee voted to prioritize study topics in the following order:  completion of the Attorney General’s Office study, the Game and Fish “Access Yes” program, and the Worker’s Compensation claims settlement process.  The Committee directed staff to complete several scoping papers for future evaluations for consideration by the Committee at a future meeting.  The Committee plans to meet again in late September or early October to consider new program evaluations completed by staff.
