AN ACT relating to peace officers; amending the extraterritorial authority of peace officers as specified; providing for immunity; apportioning compensation and costs as specified; and providing for an effective date.

"The chief of police of any municipality or the sheriff of any county appointing a peace officer under this subsection shall, within thirty (30) days of such appointment, register the appointment with the division of criminal investigation.  The registry shall be considered public information.  The registry shall contain the following information for each appointed peace officer:

                                (i)  The name of the appointed peace officer;

                                (ii)  The area of jurisdiction authorized for the appointed peace officer;

                                (iii)  The duration of the appointment.".  GOODENOUGH
