  2. School foundation program fiscal profile (including potential MAP model updates) – LSO staff.
  3. Discussion of K-12 External cost adjustment – LSO staff.
  4. Base vs. standard budget report – Mike McVay - Budget office.
  5. Discussion of design bid projects/alternative construction delivery.
  6. Time permitting – Committee planning issues.

 

Tuesday, November 4, 8:00 a.m.

 

  1. State Dept. of Education – Budget overview – discussion of federal flow-through monies.
  2. Dept. of Health – Budget overview including status and budget implications of Chris S. and Olmstead law suits – update on Medicaid issues.
  3. Dept. of Corrections – Budget overview including discussion of capital construction needs and issues related to housing prisoners.

 

Wednesday, November 5, 8:00 a.m.

 

  1. Continuation of previous day’s discussion.
  2. Game and Fish – Review of budget process – current fiscal picture.
  3. Committee planning and wrap-up.

-         Discussion of Committee rules with respect to hearing testimony from other Committee Chairmen.

-         Discussion of budget bill fund codes – LSO staff.

-         Discussion of budget school for new legislators/preview of JAC budget recommendations for legislators.

-         Planning for December meeting.
