School Finance Litigation.

Michael O'Donnell, state's counsel for school finance litigation, will update Select Committee members on school finance litigation, as initiated by a joint petition filed by the Wyoming Education Association, the Wyoming School Boards Association and several Wyoming school districts.

Local Enhancement Maintenance Revenues.

2004 Laws, Chapter 114, modified major maintenance program provisions in accordance with state adequacy standards and facility design guidelines.  At the same time, district reporting and expenditure requirements were clarified and tightened.  The Select Committee was accordingly directed to develop state policy and mechanisms to address district enhancements to facilities beyond state adequacy standards, particularly funding the maintenance of enhancements.

Collocated School Buildings.

2004 Laws, Chapter 108, Section 402(c) directed the Select Committee to review the treatment of collocated schools under the small school adjustment and school facility adequacy standards.
