School
Configuration Guidelines.
2006
legislation enacting recalibration of the block grant model required the State
Superintendent to develop statewide guidelines on school configuration for
purposes of block grant model administration and computation of school
foundation program amounts. (2006 Laws,
Chapter 37, Section 7(a)). The recalibrated
model is a "school" based model, as contrasted to the preexisting
"district" based model.
Guidelines are by law to address school configuration on the basis of
adequate delivery of the required statewide educational program in a
cost-efficient and educationally effective manner.
