School Facilities Commission Process Component Review.
Several components of the process to address school
district facility needs have been reviewed and modified by the Commission. This work has been initiated through updated
and improved data capabilities and reporting processes, through compliance with
statutory review requirements and through a group facilitated discussion
process (IBS) with system participants. The school facilities program provides
the Commission and the Legislature a mechanism to identify district building
needs, to develop a means to address identified needs and a basis to prioritize
needs statewide. From this process, the
Commission assembles a budget request to fund remedies addressing prioritized
needs.
