Catch Title: Marriage licenses.

Subject: Provides an expiration date for marriage licenses if the marriage is not solemnized within a specified time period.

Summary/Major Elements:

         Under current law, a marriage license does not expire, whether the marriage is solemnized or not.

         This bill would:

         Provide that a marriage license would expire one year from the date the license was issued if the parties have not solemnized the marriage;

         Require that marriage licenses issued by a Wyoming county clerk show the expiration date of the license;

         Require that the parties reapply for a new marriage license if they want to solemnize a marriage after the previous marriage license has expired.
