DATE SUBMITTED: April 27, 2007.
SUBJECT: Chapters 2, Hunting Regulations, Chapters 5, 6 through 9, 11 through 13, 17 through 20, 24, and 39, Hunting Seasons and Chapter 48, Light Goose Conservation Order.
NATURE OF RULES: Legislative and procedural
STATUTORY AUTHORITY: W.S. 23-1-302, 23-1-703 and 23-2-104
DETERMINATION OF PROCEDURAL COMPLIANCE BASED UPON INFORMATION
SUBMITTED BY THE AGENCY TO LSO: Apparently complete to date.
SUMMARY OF RULES: The rules set hunting seasons and bag limits for antelope, deer, elk, moose, bighorn sheep, sage grouse, blue and ruffed grouse, partridge, small game, pheasant, sharp tailed grouse, fall wild turkey, mountain goat, early migratory bird and light goose. The rules make minor wording amendments to the general hunting regulations and provide for the issuance of an additional limited quota white tailed deer license in specified hunt areas.
FINDINGS: The rules appear to be within the scope of statutory authority and legislative intent.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: That the rules be placed on the Consent List and be approved by the Council as submitted by the Agency.
NOTE: Due to the length of the proposed rules, they are not included with this document. The complete set of rules is on file with the LSO and is available for review upon request.
