SUBJECT:                                 Chapter 1, General Information; Chapter 4, Satisfaction of Minimum Training Requirements; and Chapter 7, Forms, Board of Coroner Standards.

 

NATURE OF RULES:                     Legislative and Procedural.

 

STATUTORY AUTHORITY:         W.S. 7-4-211(c).

 

DETERMINATION OF PROCEDURAL COMPLIANCE BASED UPON INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE AGENCY TO LSO:  Apparently complete to date.  No comments were received during the public comment period.

 

SUMMARY OF RULES:  The adopted rules amend the Board of Coroner Standard's rules.  Chapter 1, Section 5(b) is amended to comply with W.S. 7-4-211(c) regarding the number of meetings to be held each year.  Chapter 4, Section 3(b) (ii) is amended to allow coroners and deputy coroners to receive credit for courses that are at least one hour in length.  Chapter 4, Section 3(e) establishes a procedure for receiving credit for course work that was not pre-approved.  Finally, the rules delete Chapter 7, Section 4, which used forms which have not been used by the Board for many years.

 

FINDINGS:  The rules appear to be within the scope of statutory authority and legislative intent.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:  That the rule be placed on the Consent List and be approved by the Council as submitted by the Agency.
