Program Evaluation

The Program Evaluation function is a special, highly structured program of the Wyoming Legislative Service Office that is specifically established by statute, W.S. 28-8-107. It is similar to program evaluation functions that exist in most other states, in many cases, within the Legislative Branch.

The Management Audit Committee, a committee of the Legislature created by statute, selects programs or agencies of state government for evaluation. The LSO's Program Evaluation Section then conducts an evaluation in accordance with specified standards and procedures. The Section's work remains confidential under law until the Management Audit Committee votes to release the evaluation report.
