Discussions.
PRESS
RELEASE
As
required by 2002 School Finance Legislation (original Senate File 51), Senator
Irene Devin and Representative Bill Stafford, Education Committee CoChairs,
have contracted with the Consensus Council, professional facilitation
expertise, to facilitate school finance discussions, and have assembled
discussion participants. The first
session of these discussions is scheduled as follows:

The
2002 law requires the Joint Education Interim Committee to provide for a
facilitated discussion of school finance data issues. The discussion is to include school finance data expertise within
school districts, state agencies and consultants to the legislature. A report of the discussions is to be
presented to the Committee in June of this year.
A
second session is scheduled for May 29 and 30, also in Casper at the U.W.
Outreach Center.
The
discussions are open to the public, but only participants will be allowed to
take part in the facilitated discussions.
