Catch Title:       Disabled veteran's tax exemption.

 

Subject:  Provides that veterans who are unemployable qualify for an additional veterans' tax exemption.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Under current law, specified veterans are entitled to a tax exemption limited to $2,000 of assessed value for up to $800 tax benefit annually.

·        This bill provides that veterans who have been granted individual unemployability status certified by the U.S. veterans administration are entitled to additional annual tax exemptions not to exceed an amount determined by a statutory formula.
