Subject:  Amends the requirements for reporting contagious and infectious livestock diseases.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Amends the duty to report contagious or infectious diseases to the state veterinarian.

 

·        Provides for the state veterinarian to establish and manage a list of reportable diseases for any contagious or infectious disease.

 

·        Provides for the state veterinarian to consult with the game and fish department.

 

·        Provides for the list to be confidential, except in certain circumstances as determined by the state veterinarian in which case the state veterinarian will disclose to designated individuals.

 

·        Makes a willful or malicious falsifying of a report a misdemeanor.
