Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        This act:

 

o       Provides for the denial or cancellation of drivers' licenses for persons whose medical or optical condition renders them incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle;

 

o       Allows treating physicians or optometrists to notify the driver's license division that a person is not capable of safely operating a motor vehicle and to request an appropriate examination by the division;

 

o       Contains an immediate effective date.
