Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Under current law, a court may restrict the disclosure or publication of information that is reasonably likely to identify the minor victim upon request of the minor victim or another acting on behalf of a victim, if an information or indictment has been filed in a criminal matter.

 

·        This bill requires a court to restrict the disclosure or publication of information that is reasonably likely to identify the minor victim, if an information or indictment has been filed in a criminal matter, unless the minor victim or another acting on behalf of the minor requests the release of the identifying information.
