Subject:  Amends stays of public service commission orders as specified.

 

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Under current law, any interested person may apply to the Public Service Commission (PSC) for a rehearing with respect to any matter contained in a PSC order. The application for rehearing shall stay the order, only as to the matter specified in the application, for 30 days or until the PSC grants or denies the application for rehearing.

 

·        This bill would stay the portion of the order addressed in the rehearing application until the PSC denies the application or enters an order following rehearing, whichever occurs later, except upon a request and a showing of good cause the PSC can vacate a stay and allow the order or decision to continue in effect.
