Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Old law provided that if the balance of the emergency fire suppression account exceeded $3,000,000, then there was no assessment charged to participating counties for that fiscal year until the balance in the account was reduced to $2,400,000.

 

·        New law changes the above amounts to $5,000,000 and $4,000,000 respectively.
