Summary/Major Elements:

·        2003 Senate File 16 authorized a prison construction study to determine the best site(s) for construction of up to 2 medium security facilities.

 

·        This bill:

·        Establishes Torrington, Wyoming as the site of the proposed medium security facility;

·        Specifies the types, names and locations of facilities under the control of the Department of Corrections, including The Honor Farm in Riverton, the Honor Conservation Camp in Newcastle and the Medium Correctional Institution at Torrington.
