Subject:  Authorizes the department of agriculture to use fees generated from the alfalfa leaf cutter bee program to be used by a separate agency on contract with the department for administration of the program.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Authorizes the department of agriculture to contract with another governmental agency or a private association for the administration of the alfalfa leaf-cutter bee program.

 

·        If the department contracts with another agency, the fees generated from the program may be used by the agency for the administration of that program.

 

·        Requires the contracting agency to submit an annual budget to the department for its review and approval prior to the expenditure of any funds.
