Subject:  Creates, amends and repeals provisions relating to libraries.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Allows the state law librarian to send one (1) copy of the session laws of Wyoming to the library of each state and territory of the United States, in exchange for the session laws of each of those states and territories.  All session laws received will be held in the state law library and become property of the state.

 

·        Under current law the board of directors is considered a body corporate, with the power to sue and be sued.  This amendment allows the name on file with the secretary of state to be used when designating a specific library board. 

 

·        Repeals section dealing with existing session law exchange.
