Catch Title:       Executive training institute/graduate school of business.

 

Subject:  Development of an executive training, conference and institutes center and potential development of graduate school.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Creates an executive/legislative oversight committee consisting of the five elected state officials or their designees, the speaker of the house and the president of the senate and other legislative members to oversees a steering committee.

·        The steering committee consists of various University of Wyoming personnel and others designated by the bill or appointed by the oversight committee.

·        The steering committee is to develop plans for an executive training center and potential graduate school of business, including siting, facilities, tuition requirements, course content, proposed budget and associated items.  In developing its plan and evaluation sites the steering committee is to consult with Teton County commissioners and the Jackson city council and seek public input from Teton county.

·        After development of the plan, the steering committee is to hold not less than five public hearings throughout the state.

·        The steering committee is to report its plans to the oversight committee by October 1, 2005.

·        The oversight committee is to report to the legislature not later than December 1, 2005.

·        Nine hundred forty-five thousand dollars is appropriated from the general fund to the steering committee for the purposes of the act.
