Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Authorizes two (2) full-time positions for the state-tribal liaison under the governor's office.

 

·        Appropriates $120,000.00 for the two positions and administrative expenses.  Approximately $80,000.00 remains from prior appropriations to make a total available amount of approximately $200,000.00.

 

·        States that the governor's office 2007-2008 biennium budget request will contain continued funding of these positions.

 

·        Requires the tribal liaison to consult with the governor and the select committee on tribal relations in developing an immediate action plan and a long-term state-tribal policy.
