Subject:  Modifies fines and penalties imposed by the Wyoming oil and gas conservation commission.

 

Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Increases fines and penalties payable to the Wyoming oil and gas conservation commission from not more than $500.00 to not more than $5,000.00 and from not more than $1,000.00 to not more than $10,000.00 for various violations and for each day the violation continues.

 

·        Provides for any penalties collected to be paid to the state treasurer and credited to the public school fund of the county in which the violation occurred.

 

·        Allows the Wyoming oil and gas conservation commission to waive penalties for good cause.
