Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Current law allows an eligible person with a disability to be employed but purchase Medicaid services by paying a sliding-scale premium.

 

·        This act:

 

o       Expands program eligibility by changing the maximum income eligibility level from 100% of the federal poverty level to 300% of the supplemental security income level;

 

o       Makes an appropriation of state general funds ($96,600.00) and federal funds ($113,400.00) to pay for the expanded program;

 

o       Repeals a sunset date.
