Summary/Major Elements:

 

·        Current law requires a delinquent employer to pay a 2% surcharge on its unemployment contributions for one year or until the delinquency is satisfied, whichever is longer.

 

·        This act authorizes the department of employment to reduce or eliminate the surcharge following satisfaction of the delinquency and upon application by the employer and a showing of good cause.
