Catch Title: Workers' compensation amendments.

Subject: Implements several changes to the worker's compensation program.

Summary/Major Elements:

· Non-resident employers must currently post a bond to secure payment of premiums. This act authorizes advance payment of premiums in lieu of the bond, as authorized in rules and regulations of the Workers' Safety and Compensation Division.

· Penalties for delinquent payroll reports are standardized at $100 per delinquent report, plus interest at 2%/month on unpaid premium. The minimum $50 per month premium penalty is repealed.

· Coverage provisions are amended so that all injuries occurring in Wyoming in covered employment are covered unless the employer provides a certificate of workers compensation coverage from another state. A provision that the injured employee's employer be principally localized in Wyoming is repealed.
