Catch Title: School capital construction-building condition assessments.

Subject: Statutorily required comprehensive assessment of the adequacy of school buildings and facilities and of future space requirements for public schools within the state.

Summary/Major Elements:

· Allows the School Facilities Commission authority to schedule periodic maintenance of statewide building condition assessments to coincide with the state budget process and the development of district facility plans;

· Current law requires the Commission to annually update the assessment such that the entire inventory of school facilities is reviewed every four years.
