Subject:  Amendments to formula for Department of Health's purchase of developmental preschool services.

Summary/Major Elements:  This act:

· Amends the existing statutory formula for calculation of contract payments by the Department of Health to developmental preschool service providers;

· Changes the per student amount in the statutory formula from $7,206.00 to $8,503.00;

· Appropriates $4,644,162.00 from the general fund to the Department of Health for purposes of the increased formula payments through June 30, 2008.

· Appropriates $110,000 from the general fund to the Department of Health for completing reports due to the legislature.
