Catch Title: Prevailing wage amendments.
Subject: Miscellaneous amendments to the Wyoming Prevailing Wage Act.
Summary/Major Elements: Current law requires that prevailing wages, as determined by the Department of Employment, be paid to workers on specified public works construction projects. This act:

· Authorizes a single statewide statistical district for calculation of prevailing wage rates for state-funded projects;
· Authorizes the Department of Employment to investigate violation of the act on its own volition, without a complaint having been filed;
· Limits an existing 5% bid preference for resident contractors to those contractors who participate in the Department of Employment's prevailing wage survey.
