Subject:  Expanding duties of the advisory council on aging.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act expands the duties of the advisory council on aging to include advising the division on aging on long term care issues including assisted living, adult day care, boarding homes, home health agencies, hospice care, hospital care, nursing care and other issues that may face the aging.

· Appropriates $18,500 in general funds and the same in federal funds to the department of health to pay for reimbursing nonstate employed members of the council for necessary expenses incurred in the performance of council duties.
