Catch Title:       Community Human Services Act.

Subject:  Local match requirement for Department of Health  expenditures on developmental preschool services.

Summary/Major Elements:

· Current law at W.S. 21-2-706 authorizes the Department of Health to make expenditures, based upon a specified formula without any local match requirement, to acquire services of special educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech-language therapists from developmental preschool service providers;

· The Community Human Services Act at W.S. 35-1-622(b) requires a 10% local match whenever the Department of Health purchases human services, including developmental disabilities services, from any community board or public agency;

· This act amends both of the above laws to provide that a 3% local match is required for developmental preschool contract expenditures, whether obtained from a private provider, community board or public agency.
