Summary/Major Elements:

· The act permits two or more cities or towns to enter into an agreement to define future geographical growth and expansion areas.

· The act requires a public hearing prior to entry into such an agreement.

· If an agreement is entered into pursuant to this act, the parties may not annex real property located in the other city's defined growth area unless the other city consents in writing.

· The act ratifies previous agreements.

· The act does not supersede any other laws regarding annexation.
