Subject:            Misdemeanor for intentional use of false documents to obtain public resources or services.

Summary/Major Elements:

· The act creates a misdemeanor for intentional use of false documents to conceal a person's true identity, citizenship or resident alien status to obtain access to public resources or services.

· The act allows an official who is presented with documents in connection with an application for a driver's license or Wyoming identification card who has probable cause to believe that the documents are false to seize and retain the documents.

· Documents seized under the act shall be delivered to a law enforcement official.  If investigation shows the documents to be real, they shall be returned to the person immediately.
