Summary/Major Elements:

· Under current Wyoming law, a sentence of death is carried out by the injection of a "lethal quantity of an ultra-short-acting barbiturate in combination with a chemical paralytic agent."

· This bill brings Wyoming's statute into line with a number of other states by requiring that the execution protocol for intravenous injection be expanded to include "potassium chloride or other equally effective substances sufficient to cause death".
