Summary/Major Elements:

· The act provides a three hundred thousand dollar appropriation to the department of state parks and cultural resources for the following purposes:

o For construction of exhibits to display items, the creation of kiosks and signs and distribution of printed materials;

o For purchase of equipment, computers, cameras and other technology and for the development of presentations to enhance educational opportunities; and

o For the restoration and renovation of historic buildings under the management of the department.

Comments:

• Report Required – The department shall submit a report to the joint travel, recreation, wildlife and cultural resources committee and the joint appropriations committee by October 1, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
