Subject:  Establishes new crimes for sex offenses committed against minors and amends penalties for existing sex offenses.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act:

· Creates new offenses for 1^st through 4^th degree sexual assault of a minor;

· Establishes penalties for the new offenses;

· Amends penalties for existing sexual offenses, including, in some cases, establishes minimum mandatory sentences and establishes mandatory life sentences for specified repeat offenders;

· Moves existing "soliciting minors to engage in illicit sexual relations", and "indecent liberties against a minor" and restrictions against disclosure of minor victims' names from Title 14 to Title 6 of the Wyoming Statutes;

· Conforms provisions to account for the new offenses and increased penalties.
