Catch Title:       Youth access to tobacco cessation programs.

Subject:  Authorizes direct access by youth to health care for tobacco cessation.

Summary/Major Elements:

· Current law at W.S. 14-1-101(b) authorizes a minor who is married, emancipated or in the military service, or whose parents cannot be located, to consent to health care to the same extent as an adult.

· This act expands upon current law by authorizing all minors who are age 12 or older and users of tobacco to consent to health care which is a tobacco cessation program approved by the Department of Health.
