Catch Title:       Community based in-home services.

Subject:  Amends eligibility process for the community based in-home services program administered by the Division on Aging.

Summary/Major Elements:

• The Department of Health, Division on Aging, administers a state program to provide community based in-home services for senior citizens and disabled adults.  Priority in services is given to persons at risk of placement in nursing homes.

• This act removes the requirement that the at-risk assessment be made pursuant to the Long Term Care Choices Act, which in turn requires use of the federal "Assessment of Medical Necessity for Long Term Care."
