· This legislation establishes the authority of a funeral director to direct the entombment, burial or cremation of a deceased person according to the direction of a person designated to make such decisions in a written document.  This legislation specifically states that a designation document drafted in a form mandated by federal law is sufficient. 

· This legislation was intended to confirm that Wyoming will recognize the wishes of military personnel who complete standardized federal documents designating the persons who can make post-mortem decisions on their behalf.
