Catch Title:       School district health insurance-2.

Subject: State employees' and officials' group insurance plan

Summary/Major Elements:

· Provides that school districts may elect to participate in the state employees' and officials' group insurance plan and provides that an election to participate by a school district is irrevocable for five years.

· Provides that a school district may elect to cease participation in the plan after the expiration of the five year period.

· Authorizes interfund loans to cover the cost of group insurance plan participation by school districts.

· Provides for an increase of the members of the group insurance plan's advisory panel from ten to twelve if five or more school districts elect to participate in the group insurance plan.

· Authorizes up to fifteen additional positions to the department of administration and information if necessary and authorized to be filled by the governor.
